Most of us remember taking a course on Geometry. Today's curriculum is much different. Today, Geometry students are expected to learn and use logical reasoning to prove that the mathematics we use are correct. This increases the understanding of mathematics. Students retain more of the knowledge that they learn than of what they are told. Throughout my Geometry courses, students will learn about basic Euclidean Geometry, which will lead into proofs about various two dimensional shapes, transformations and translations, and a basic introduction to trigonometry. By teaching the skill of logic to our students, we improve their reasoning skills which will help them to make better decisions in life.
